Before you bring it in
Getting your van ready.
A few minutes now saves mould, flat batteries and flat tyres later.
- Clean it out. Remove food, empty and wipe out the fridge, and leave its door propped open.
- Drain the water. Empty the fresh, grey and black water tanks and the hot water system.
- Turn off the gas at the cylinders.
- Look after the batteries. Charge them fully, then switch off the isolator or disconnect them.
- Keep the air moving. The Northern Rivers is humid. Moisture absorbers and slightly open cupboard doors help keep mould away.
- Check the tyres. Inflate them to the recommended pressure. Tyre covers help against sun damage on long stays.
- Choose a breathable cover. Plastic tarps trap moisture against the van.
- Wash it before you come. Vehicle washing isn’t permitted onsite.
- Lock it up. A hitch lock and a wheel clamp make any parked caravan harder to move.
- Check your insurance covers the van while it’s stored away from home.
Caravan questions.
How long can my caravan be?
Tell us the length, including the drawbar, when you enquire and we’ll discuss a suitable space. The lots are open-air, so there’s no roof or door to fit under.
Can I stay in my caravan onsite?
No. The site is for storage only: living onsite, camping and overnight stays aren’t permitted.
Can I service or wash the van there?
No. Mechanical work, repairs and vehicle washing aren’t permitted. Please take care of these before you bring the van in.
Can’t I just leave it on the street?
Not indefinitely. In NSW, councils can act on a registered caravan or trailer left in the same public place for 28 days or more. Our guide to street parking rules explains how it works.
How much does it cost?
Caravan storage is $50 + GST per week for vans up to 6 m, and $80 + GST per week up to 12 m. See all prices, or call or text 0401 086 607 to book.
